Want to remove Pagefile.sys file from windows? Heres’ how
The Pagefile.sys file is designed to act as a extended memory to your computer’s memory to help run programs.
To simply put it, the pagefile.sys file acts as a buffer by collecting a sizable amount of data to help the computer in terms of memory functions. The amount is usually around 1.5 gig of hard drive space.
The benefits of having this file in place is geared toward making the operating system believe that it has more memory than it actually has so that your computer can perform multiple tasks.
On the other hand, the pagefile.sys file is not needed for those computers that have a huge amount of memory. So removing it will not affect its performance.
But if you have a small amount of memory, such as below 256mb, than it is recommended that you leave the pagefile.sys file in alone because this will affect your computer performance and cause it to lag.
Then it will be a disaster for your windows and you might feel latency and struggle for multitasking on your windows.
Here are the steps to take on how to remove pagefile.sys from Windows:
1. Go to Start|Control Panel|System
2. Now Click on the Advanced Tab
