How to Add/Remove Buttons On Your Browser?

Anybody can customize their toolbar on their system web browser. There are many buttons to choose from which gives you more control over what will work for you. An example would be if you wanted to add buttons that you use a lot like maybe “Text Size” or “Paste buttons then this can be done easily.  Now, as a computer repair technican in memphis, I get many computer related questions.  So I am deciding to repond to some of them.

This article implies that you are using Internet Explorer.

Ok let’s get started, to add or remove buttons from your browser:

1. Right click anywhere on the browser to bring up a menu.
2. Look toward the bottom of the menu and you should see the word customize, Click on it and a Customize Toolbar Screen should appear.
3. Here you can add buttons to toolbar just by highlighting what buttons on the left side.
4. Next look in the middle of the Toolbar Screen for the Add button and click it once you made your choices. That’s it.
5. To remove buttons just do the opposite of adding buttons.

Also, you can list the order of buttons by positioning them either up or down within the list.

How to rid the “Your computer might be at risk” popup box in XP

Have you ever got a message from a pop of box located by your computer clock that says “your computer might be at risk, antivirus software might not be installed, Click this balloon to fix the problem”. There is a alternative to solving this problem whereby you do not need to edit your computer registry.  We are going to make a simple change in the Windows Security Center Settings to disable the popup.

Take these steps to rid that securitywarning message:

Let’s start by clicking on the Start button and going straight to the Control Panel.  Now click on the Security Center Link and open it.

At this point, the Windows Security Center Box will open.

Now look at the left side of the Windows Security Center and there should be a Resources Tab. Now under the
Resource Tab, look for the “Change the way Security Center alerts me” and click on it to open.

Once you click on the “Change the way Security Center alerts me” , a Alert Settings box will appear.

At this point is where you will uncheck the “Virus Protection” box and press OK.
